A year of bitter-sweet memories has passed. May this new year bring immense joy and fun to your life. May you reach new heights of success. Happy New Year.
Hello Amy, I never expected to see an email from Twitter showing you as a follower. I actually have been looking to follow you. I knew nothing about you until Audible and that's my reason for writing you.
I listened to your first book on Audible and I absolutely loved it. I know that's a very hard thing to do and it takes the right narrator to tell a story. I believe you have found a very talented narrator.
I actually reach out to self published authors and get them involved with Audible. Most authors think they have to get severall different narrators to tell their story. They don't realize if a good narrator is picked they don't need a male and female.
I have worked with about twenty authors and I've given them both emails and the phone numbers to ACX. I've helped with even setting up accounts, narrators, and listening to the auditions. I do this free, I ask nothing I return. I just enjoy audio books.
I'm sure you're wondering what this has to do with you right? I guess I should explain without writing a novel, lol.
I not only do that but I reach out to authors to tryand hhelp authors anyway I can, such as read and reviewing.I try to find authors that are on Audible. I'm in several groups on GoodReads and I participate in several different blogs. I've noticed that there's authors who are on Audible that don't have a clue what ACX codes. are.
I'm not sure if your a self published author or published. I've discovered that most published authors don't have a clue what ACX codes are. The authors that have a publisher tell me they don't get the codes and it makes me wonder what they do with them. ACX gives five codes for.every book that's been submitted on Audible. If I'm not mistaken, you have four books on there so that's 20 codes that can be used on Audible. I don't know if you get your codes or not.
This is where my question (?) comes in. DO YOU HAVE MANY EXTRA ACX CODES. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF IT'S TO YOUR FIRST BOOK OR FOR YOUR LAST. I PASS THEM OUT TO GROUPS I'M ACTIVE IN ON GOODREADS AND TO BLOGS. I TRY TO FIND PEOPLE THAT AREN'T FAMILIAR WITH THE AUTHORS STORIES. I ASK FOR ONE THING IN RETURN, TO SUBMIT REVIEWS ON AUDIBLE AND ANYWHERE THAT THEY CAN, LIKE AMAZON, GOODREADS, B&N, AND ANY OTHER PLACES THEY KNOW OF.
IF YOU HAVE ANY EXTRA ACX CODES PLEASE SEND THEM TO ME. I WILL PASS THEM OUT AND IN RETURN THEY WILL REVIEW THEM. IF YOUR PUBLISHER HAS THEM AS SOME OFTEN DO, ASK FOR THEM.I'VE HAD SEVERAL AUTHORS THAT HAVE SENT ME THE CODES FROM THEIR PUBLISHER.
I DON'T NEED THE PAPER FROM ACX OR THE DIRECTIO'S. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS WRITE EACH CODE DOWN AND PUT 1. code then 2. code and so on. If you do and you decide to pass some to me just double check the codes so yout know they're right.
I can assure you I will do what I say I'm going to. I really hope you have some codes. I don't mind if it's a few or everyone you have. I promise they'll get sent out to groups on GoodReads and to blogs. If there's places you don't want me to send them to just let me know. If there's places you want reviews to be posted just let me know so people I gi've them to post reviews in places you prefer.
Hi, Angela! Umm...I have to admit that I've never heard of ACX codes until now. They sound like they're promo codes to free copies of the audiobook to me, correct? I'll have to ask my agent about them and get back to you. I don't own the rights to my audiobooks, having sold them to a traditional publisher. I suspect that they have the codes.
