Inescapable as an ebook is one-year-old today! It was August 29, 2011 when it first appeared on Amazon. (It was out as a paperback on Aug. 8, 2011--I only sold 32 copies that month in paperback. My friend, Molly, bought 10 and my mom bought 12). I think of the 29th as it's true birthday because the ebook version is really the birth of my life as a published author. Without Amazon and the internet, well, my stories would probably be locked away in my computer. Thank you Amazon.
I'm looking back on my first year as an author and it's very surreal. I still have a hard time telling people that I'm a writer when I'm asked the question, "What do you do?" But, this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. It took me a really long time to find something that makes me happy. This makes me happy. It's the best job on the planet because it's not a job; it's a passion. Thank you for supporting me and allowing me to do what I love. I'm eternally grateful to you.
As an small birthday gift, I'm including a link to SupaGurl Books where she's doing "A week with Amy A. Bartol." Today is Day 3 and SupaGurl has included a DELETED SCENE FROM INESCAPABLE ENTITLED "SEDUCTION." I hope you enjoy it!!
